Life For Today, Ready For Tomorrow

I have good news for everyone today! Who doesn’t love good news? Nobody that I know!

First of all, I am super excited about life right now. That may sound odd, but bare with me. In the midst of COVID-19, the political nightmare the country is in and the social unrest re are facing, God is still forgiving, loving, moving and changing lives! I have seen so many families face hardship, death and despair over the past few months. It can become overwhelming just to watch the news or even scroll through Facebook. I personally know 4 people that stopped using social media altogether because they just could not handle all the negativity and the heartbreaking news.

Getting away from social media is a very good idea. But you can also use social media as a platform for encouragement through Jesus Christ. We can use technology as a tool to reach souls just like we do with in-person interaction. He is our everything, our all-in-all. I cant say enough about him!

On the other hand, I also know several couples that either got married, got engaged, had a new baby, bought a new house and even several that were washed and saved by the blood of Jesus this year! There has been countless members and friends of our church that have been baptized, been filled with The Holy Ghost and started a brand new life right in the middle of a pandemic! That is the kind of God we serve.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33

I took a little trip to see my daughter and granddaughters this past weekend and I was in awe of the beauty of the scenery. There was so many gorgeous fall colors in the trees and since it is my favorite time of year I was soaking it up all the way there. As I was admiring the beautiful colors and trees God spoke to me and I felt impressed to share it today. Every tree I saw was a different color, some even different shades of the same color, and there were still some that were green and had not started to change for the season.

Do you realize that is exactly how our walk's and relationship's with God are? Each one of us is in a different place with God. Some of us are literally just beginning to grasp who God really is, some are building their faith in the beginning stages of their relationship with God, some are in the process of strengthening the relationship by digging deeper, spending more time in prayer and reading, some have been living for God for many years and may even be ready to meet him in heaven. There are still so many levels and levels in between these. That's why living for God is so amazing. God is with us through every level of our relationship with him, that is his promise to us.

"And the LORD, he [it is] that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed." - Deuteronomy 31:8

"Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he [it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee." - Deuteronomy 31:6

"6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7

"So that we may boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." - Hebrews 13:6

"Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." - Psalms 55:22

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose" - Romans 8:28

Oh my goodness, are you reading what I am reading? Wow! Why wouldn't you want to live this life? It is the best life we could ever hope to have. I can truly speak from experience. I have shared parts of my testimony before but if I had time to share it all with you it would blow your mind! Sometimes I feel like I sound like a broken record but I don't care. I will never stop chasing after the One who saved me from myself!

Time is running out friends. I am not a prophet but I am not willing to take a chance on missing Heaven. Look below at these verses, yet another promise- there will be an end here on earth, the question is "Are you going to be ready?"

Matthew 24: 3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.

5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.

6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come

The good and the best news is if you are still on this side of Glory you still have an opportunity to start your walk, your relationship with Jesus. He is just waiting for you, there is always an open invitation from Him to every one of us.

I hope this blesses you but my intention is much more than that. I hope it speaks to you, down deep, and you make a change, whatever that looks like to you, toward God and start this journey that will literally be life changing!

God Bless!
