Prayer Changes Things

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us

Prayer, what an amazing way to communicate with the ONE true God! I truly do not believe that the majority of the world understands how important and powerful prayer is. As Christians we should know beyond the shadow of a doubt that getting on our knees in prayer is a must in our everyday life! I have experienced prayer that changes your circumstance, your attitude, your outlook and builds your faith.

When you go to God in prayer He is listening. Just because a prayer is not answered, do not be discouraged. We need to realize if our prayer is not God's will then we may not see it answered, at least not the way we want.

Years ago, when I really started being on fire for God, I found myself waking up in the middle of the night to just start praying. If I tried to ignore it God just kept nudging me, “Wake up, it's time to pray.” It was all hours of the night! I felt the presence of God so strongly that I could not deny it was Him speaking to me. There had been a few important prayer requests I had for over a year when God spoke to me in a women's conference. He told me two of these prayers were going to be answered! Oh what an exciting day! So I went home after the conference and wrote it down in my prayer journal.

It took a few months and I never told anyone about this experience with God because I wanted to sit back and watch it unfold.

When my son asked his (now) wife to marry him and she said yes that was my first promise that God spoke to me! We were so excited and I knew that this was God's will, beyond a shadow of a doubt! Then shortly after that, God gave me my second promise. It was that my daughter was going to marry as well! You want to talk about absolute excitement, but I was determined not to share this with anyone until after it unfolded. When it did, I was so happy to show them my journal that I had written these promises in.

Don’t ever give up on your prayers and your promises from God. It will happen His way and in His time, but only if we are in His will. Hallelujah, Praise God!

"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us."
